I love how all your medical questions can be answered online now. Can't tell whether it's a flu or cold? Go to webMD and look up your symtoms.

This is all fine and dandy when I am lazy at home and getting sick. However, when I go to my doctor office. My doctor would mainly sit on her computer desk and type random stuff on her keyboard as I talk about my problems. She would then reads off and tell me my diagnostics.

Afterward, she proceeded to order my prescription over the internet and I get to pick up my medicine an hour afterward. Yep, no more squinting while trying to read your doctor's ugly handwriting for what he is prescribing for you.

This is strange to me. What is the different between having an actual doctor or simply going to a medical website?

Female Gamers

Someone linked this in my gaming forums. Some stuff applies to me, some not so much.

I don't think is accurate to assume that about all females gamers. But stats will be stats..

facebook/myspace

I remember before facebook becomes the bomb like it is right now, Myspace was the it thing. I hated it. But all of my high school friends at the time were on it. I hated how customizable it gets and everyone clutter their pages with glitter gif and random chain mail tibits.

Then comes along Facebook. Back then it was very restrictive to its member. I remember you have to have a university email address to have it, which sort of limited the people who were are going to community college and have no school email.

Up until today, I don't exactly use either my facebook or myspace except for checking people pictures. I don't feel like writing stuff publicly on people's walls or engaging in pokewars. But that's how I am though, a not very social person.

Website Final Project

I finished most of the design for my friend's wedding website. She provided me with majority of the textual content so everything was very simple.

Crystal is being used throughout her wedding day decor so I decided to use that as my primary graphics for my design.

I love this site. They have color palette for you to work with. There are some nice patterns for website background too.

On a crappy laptop/netbook that can't afford to run Photoshop. Go to this site. Their flash applications allow you to do basic editing to your photo. They also have some nifty filter that I love (this retro looking thing that make your photo looks vintage and the snow/rain filter).

Gmail & CSUEB

I hate how gmail and CSUEB mail has no way of fusing with each other. I tried the forwarding option but I don't think it works. All my incoming messages still stay in their separate mailbox.

I always have gmail open so I can use the chat function to talk with others. Signing out of normal gmail to go to CSUEB's mail server eliminate this option for me. This is why I rarely log into my CSUEB email account.

For some reason I woke up today and decided to open it and found out that class is canceled. Lucky me, it would've been a big hassle wasting 2+ hours commuting there.

smart phones

I want a smart phones, sort of. I'm not a phone person particularly but I do appreciate it for its internet access. Imagine driving around lost without a navigator in some strange town at night >.> That seems to happen to me a lot.

My boyfriend has been a smart phone users right when it first come out. I tried using it but the "touching" option is just too hard for me. I have tiny fingers but somehow I can't seem to touch the qwerty keyboard in there correctly.

Is there any phone out there with "smart phone" capabilities but doesn't require me to touch the screen? I am so used to hard buttons.
